Last updated 19 August 2026.

The mailing list is the only thing on this site that asks you for personal data. This notice says what happens to it. Tradr is open source, and if you run it yourself, none of your trading data reaches us.

1. Who we are

Mossfoot Digital, Inc. is a corporation registered in Alberta, Canada. It operates tradr.cloud and is responsible for the personal data described here.

  • Mailing address: Mossfoot Digital, Inc., Edmonton, AB, Canada T6V 1E2
  • Email: privacy@tradr.cloud

2. What we collect, and what we do with it

The signup form asks for one thing: your email address. We ask for no name and no payment details.

We use it to email you when the hosted version of Tradr opens to sign-ups, and to send other Tradr news if there is any worth sending. We do not sell your address. We do not share it for advertising, and we build no profile of you.

You consent by submitting the form. Buttondown then emails you to ask that you confirm the address is yours, and you are on the list only after you click the link in that email. If you never click it, nothing else is sent to you.

Canada's anti-spam law, CASL, governs the email we send. Every newsletter we send carries our name, our mailing address, and an unsubscribe link that works in one click. The confirmation email is different: it is Buttondown's standard confirmation message, sent by Buttondown, and the plan we are on does not let us change what it says.

3. Who holds your address

Buttondown, in the United States, runs the mailing list. It stores your address, sends the confirmation email, and processes unsubscribes. We hold no separate data processing agreement with Buttondown. The account runs on Buttondown's own terms of service, and Buttondown's privacy policy covers what it does with the data it holds.

Because Buttondown is in the United States, an address given by someone outside the United States is stored outside their own country. We say so plainly so you can decide before you sign up.

This website keeps no subscriber list of its own. It is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which passes your submission to Buttondown when you press the button. We give your address to nobody else, except where the law requires it.

4. How to get off the list

Every newsletter we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click removes you, and we do not ask why. If you never clicked the confirmation link, you were never added, so there is nothing to leave.

You can also write to privacy@tradr.cloud and ask us to do it. Tell us the address you signed up with, because it is the only thing we can look you up by.

5. Cookies, tracking and server logs

This site sets no analytics or advertising cookies. It stores nothing in your browser. We do not track you across other websites.

Cloudflare hosts the site, so Cloudflare handles your IP address and the ordinary details of each request, such as the page you asked for and the browser you used. Every web host does this, and it happens on every visit whether or not you sign up. Cloudflare keeps those records under its own terms. We keep no copy of them, and we do not use them to work out who you are.

6. Asking us about your data

Write to privacy@tradr.cloud, or to the mailing address in section 1, to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Your address on the mailing list is the only record we hold, so deletion means taking you off the list. The server logs in section 5 stay with Cloudflare, and we hold no copy to delete. Quote the address you signed up with. We answer within 30 days.

7. Changes to this notice

If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it. If the change affects what you agreed to at signup, we say so in an email rather than leaving you to find it here.
